Message K guys. Dont think this sound was there when I first started her up but regardless I think its the lower or upper idler pully. The sound from the clip seems to be louder at the lower but then just by ear it sound like the upper. Then again it could be something else and I pray its not internal. I did a few oil changes and Im now running T6 but this didnt affect the noise. Didnt do any internal work to the engine. I just took off the cam covers for paint.

Engine came out of my previous Z that was my DD for about a year. I put about 35-40 thousand miles on it in that year. The engine sat covered up outside for another year before I found the shell its in now. In the accident that totaled the last car the clutch fan got broken from the radiator hitting it but the water pump seemed fine.

The water pump and the t-belt were new and only on the car for that year I was driving it. The pump has very little shaft play, about 2 mil,but does not leak or make noise. I even disconnected the belt to make sure it wasnt the pump making the noise.

Do you guys think I should change the pump and belt and if so should I get the gates kevlar belt or OEM? And should I just get the OEM pulleys or is the GMB pulleys that Coz sells ok? I am getting the Ramey Z idler studs though.

Check out the clips and let me know what this sounds like. Its recorded with a camera so maybe not the best quality in sound.
